For interior designers
Your flooring partner, from first sample to final fitting
Floor & Form works as a specification and delivery partner to interior designers, architects, developers and property professionals. We source and sample across premium manufacturers, survey and measure accurately, produce setting-out for feature layouts, and install with the discretion required in occupied, high-value homes.

How we support your practice
Creative flexibility with technical certainty
Design intent survives contact with the subfloor only when someone checks the detail early. That is the part we take on.
Sourcing and specification
Access to a wide range of premium carpet, wood, LVT and natural flooring manufacturers, with honest guidance on what will meet the specification and what will not.
Samples and documentation
Samples, colourways, cutting lengths and technical data supplied promptly, with the information needed for schedules, mood boards and client presentations.
Survey and quantities
Site surveys, accurate measures, quantities and wastage calculations, plus setting-out drawings for herringbone, borders and feature layouts.
Bespoke work
Bespoke stair runners, bound and whipped rugs, borders and inset detailing made to your drawings and finishes.
Programme and site coordination
Sequencing with builders, joiners and decorators, moisture and subfloor sign-off, and installation dates held to the agreed programme.
Discreet installation
Uniformed, DBS-checked fitters used to working in occupied and high-value homes, with protection, clean working and daily tidy-down.
Working together
A predictable process for your programme
- Briefing. You share drawings, schedules and the look you are after; we advise on suitability, lead times and budget bands.
- Sampling. Samples and cuttings are sent to your studio or the client, with technical data where specification matters.
- Survey. We measure on site, record subfloor condition and moisture, and confirm quantities, wastage and setting-out.
- Quotation. A clear written quotation covering materials, preparation, accessories and installation, per room or per phase.
- Installation. Dates held to programme, sequenced with other trades, with a joint inspection and aftercare handover.

Trade questions
- Do you offer trade terms to interior designers?
- Yes. We work on trade terms with interior designers, architects and developers, with pricing structures agreed per practice or per project. Terms, margins and payment arrangements are confirmed in writing before a project begins, so you can quote your client with confidence.
- Can you work to our drawings and specification?
- We can. We work from floor plans, finishes schedules and setting-out drawings, and will flag anything technically unsuitable before ordering rather than after installation. Where a specified product will not perform in a given room, we suggest alternatives that keep the design intent intact.
- Will you deal with our client directly?
- Only as you prefer. Some designers ask us to liaise directly with their client on access and dates, while others keep all communication in-house. We follow whichever arrangement you set out at the start of the project.
- How much notice do you need for installation?
- Lead times depend on the material, but as a guide we ask for four to six weeks between final specification and installation for stocked ranges, and longer for bespoke runners, woven carpet or made-to-order wood. We will confirm actual lead times when quoting.
- Do you supply flooring only, without installation?
- We prefer to supply and install, because the finished result depends heavily on preparation and fitting. For trade projects where another contractor is installing, supply-only is possible by agreement, with written guidance on subfloor requirements and laying method.
